The city of Savona does not have its own airport but you can reach it in different ways
getting to the port of Savona by car is very easy, the city is served by two main highways: the A6, which connects it to Turin, and the A10 which connects it to Genoa (eastbound) and Ventimiglia (westbound).
A6 Turin-Savona: Savona motorway exit; A10 Ventimiglia-Savona “Autostrada dei Fiori”: Savona motorway exit; A10 Genova-Savona: Savona or Albisola motorway exit (the motorway exits are both 5 km away).
By train
Savona is connected by railway with the major Italian cities.
How to get around: in the city you can move quickly and efficiently through the city public transport service. If you do not have heavy luggage you can get to Savona by public transport and then reach the port on foot from the train station or from the long-distance bus stops.
By plane
from Genoa airport, connected by bus and train to the Genoese station; from Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, you can reach the Nice Ville SNCF station by train: from here there are several trains to Genoa and / or Milan, which take about three hours to reach Savona; from Albenga airport: you can reach by car, in about fifteen minutes, the Albenga motorway exit and then continue towards Genoa: Savona is about 45 km from Albenga.
